Last week I received an email from Oozak which said they were sponsoring The Outlawz 1000 Member Party.  I'm so glad I didn't just delete the email!  They have daily challenges and this week have some great challenges and prizes for reaching 1000 members!  Here are the details:

There are 5 games, a tutorial blog hop, 2 scavenger hunts and 7 challenges. All seven challenges are participating in the party from start to finish. Unlike a regular week, all of the challenges start on Monday, Oct 3 and each has a different challenge for you to play to win prizes! The Challenges are located in the Challenge tab in the top tool bar with a drop down menu. Make sure you visit all 7 challenges to win more prizes!

Important: The 1000 Member Party has a tab in the top tool bar too with a drop-down menu. Make sure you access all 7 links in the menu to participate in the games, banner posting contest, and blog hop and to be eligible for more prizes!

Welcome New Baby Owl!

So I started making this new baby card and wasn't sure how to make it work with the sketch challenge on The Craft's Meow Blog...but then it all started to come together and needless to say yes it is 1:22am!!  I figured I better go ahead and post this just in case I don't have time tomorrow (actually today - LOL!!).  Here is the sketch & my card:

I love this set Owl Be Thinking of You!  Definitely a new favorite!  This pic isn't the greatest...sorry rushing, but you can see that I actually pulled out the sewing machine after midnight!

40 & Fabulous!

I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge to make a 40th Birthday card for my friend. I know it's hard to turn 40 (not that I'm there yet!!) so what better way then to say she's fabulous?!? :) Here's the sketch:

I tried using just plain kraft paper since I've been loving all the cards I've been seeing with kraft lately. But I'm just not a plain & simple girl - I had to spice it up with some ink "distressing". Then I decided to make a little gift box filled with her favorite candies - Mentos!
I made up this box because I wanted to fit 6 rolls of Mentos in it. It it came out pretty good - very impressed with myself - LOL!

YNSC #48 Beautiful Borders

The YNS Challenge this week is to make a card using border punches or dies on your card. Since I just purchased my first YNS set, I had to make a card!!

I love this Birdie Banner stamp set because you can put any sentiment on the banner. Of course I realized after I started coloring it in, that I didn't have any good bird colors in my copic markers! So I used regular markers, but I think it came out okay.
